Community Guidelines

We’re on a mission to erase the anxiety, awkwardness, and pressure that people associate with dating. Because dating was never meant to be a lonely, high-stakes game. It should be fun, social, and something you actually look forward to.

We envision a community where you can have more meaningful conversations and rediscover the simple joy of having a crush — alongside your friends, your classmates, your group chat, whoever!

The following Community Guidelines were created to support that mission. If you come across any content or behaviors that violate these guidelines, we encourage you to report it to our Safety team. Together, we can create an environment where all users feel safe and welcome.

IDENTITY

Be yourself

We want to get to know the real you, so please represent yourself accurately. Impersonation on Goose is prohibited — never pretend to be another individual or organization.

Do not:

  • Misrepresent your name, age, gender, or location

  • Impersonate a well-known public figure, private individual, or a fictional character

PRIVACY

Only share what’s yours

Do not disclose private or personal information on Goose without explicit consent. Speak your truth, not anyone else’s.

Do not:

  • Solicit personal information from other users to harass, exploit, or violate their privacy

  • Post someone's confidential or personal conversations, images, or videos without their explicit permission

  • Use our platform to engage in any kind of non-consensual behavior

MISINFORMATION

Don’t spread misinformation

False and misleading content isn’t just frustrating, it can lead to real harm and distrust. To protect public safety, Goose strictly prohibits persistent dangerous or unproven misinformation.

Do not:

  • Share misinformation related to conspiracy theories

  • Post content that contradicts guidance from global health organizations or public health authorities

MALICIOUS CONTENT

No scammers or spammers

Spam and deception create negative user experiences that erode trust on our platform. Any content that violates the integrity of Goose is prohibited. We do our best to catch fraudsters, but please be wary of anyone asking for financial or personal information.

Do not:

  • Post large amounts of repetitive, unwanted messages

  • Distribute unauthorized advertisements

  • Deceive people into sharing financial information

  • Share financial opportunities promising high returns with little risk

SOLICITATION

Get that bag elsewhere

Goose is not a marketplace. We love side hustles, girl bosses, and couples building their empire, but Goose is not the platform for promotion.

Do not:

  • Post unsolicited commercial or promotional content

BULLYING & HATE SPEECH

Treat others with respect

We strictly prohibit harassment, bullying, intimidation, and any behaviors that propagate hate or dehumanization towards marginalized communities.

Do not:

  • Threaten, intimidate, degrade, abuse, or bully individuals or groups of people

  • Encourage others to bully or harass users

  • Use slurs, derogatory language, or harmful stereotypes intended to demean or belittle a protected group or individual

  • Celebrate, glorify or deny hate crimes, including historical acts of violence or oppression

SELF-DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR

Discuss sensitive topics responsibly

We understand that users may connect over sensitive topics, such as self-harm or mental health struggles. While these topics of conversation are permitted, we want Goose to be a safe space for everyone. Content should never put someone’s life at risk, promote self-harm, or encourage others to engage in life-threatening behavior.

Do not:

  • Glorify, aid, or promote self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide

  • Share content that encourages or features the misuse of legal or illegal substances

SEXUALLY SUGGESTIVE CONTENT

Keep things decent and safe

Nudity, pornography, and sexually vulgar content are not allowed on Goose. Never engage in commercial transactions involving sexual activity or services.

Do not:

  • Share sexually suggestive media, including nudity, pornography or provocative content

  • Depict, promote, or glorify non-consensual sexual acts or sexual abuse

  • Coerce individuals to engage in sexual acts, send explicit imagery, or make other inappropriate demands

CHILD SAFETY

Protect minors

Goose is for adults 18 years and older. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy against any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or other forms of sexualization of minors.

Do not:

  • Share any form of content that involves minors with sexually suggestive elements

  • Solicit, share, or distribute any child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) or other contents that sexually exploit minors

VIOLENCE

Do no harm

Never encourage or praise acts of violence. We prohibit content that implies or threatens physical or sexual violence, or that gives dangerous individuals or organizations a podium.

Do not:

  • Depict, glorify, or encourage violence or sadism towards humans or animals

  • Share content that includes physical altercations, fights, or any form of assault

  • Share content that includes gore, mutilation, dismemberment

  • Describe graphic or explicit scenes of death, injury, or severe physical suffering

  • Post content that supports, glorifies, or promotes hate groups, violent extremists, gangs, cartels, or terrorist entities

  • Post content featuring reckless use of weapons

ILLEGAL ACTIVITY

Abide by the law

For the safety of our community, we require users to adhere to all applicable laws while using Goose. Never feature, encourage, or solicit illegal activity or goods on our platform.

Do not:

  • Use Goose to buy or sell alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances

  • Post content that features anyone abusing alcohol or controlled goods and substances
